  Blue Ocean Strategy Executive Workshop  
Background
Blue Ocean Strategy was developed at INSEAD (MBA rankings: Financial Times 4th globally, Business Week 1st non-US) in Fontainebleau, France. Professors Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne began writing a series of articles in the Harvard Business Review on Value Innovation (the BOS tools) in the early to mid 90’s. In 2006 they released the book titled, Blue Ocean Strategy: How to Create Uncontested Market Space and Make the Competition Irrelevant. The book became an International best seller and to date has been published in 40 languages and sold more than 2 million copies worldwide.

Executive Workshop

As part of the objective to bring global insights to Indian Corporates, Eruditus brings the one day Executive Workshop to India. It is designed to engage Senior management with the workings and methodology of Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS). 

Under the guidance of Professor Jens Meyer (CEDEP and INSEAD), participants will be introduced to the methodology, some of the tools and begin to learn how they can make their competition irrelevant while at the same time pursuing a strategy of differentiation and lower cost.

Faculty Profiles
Jens F. Meyer
Jens F. Meyer is an Adjunct Professor at INSEAD, as well as faculty at other academic institutions such as CEDEP (European Centre for Continuing Education) and the University of Applied Science (Fachhochschule Worms).

Jens F. Meyer's research & teaching activities focus on various management aspects of new media and technology deployment.

He co-founded the Centre for Advanced Learning Technologies and later joined RISE, the Centre for Research in Software Excellence.He has developed and taught courses on E-marketing
He has lectured and presented in executive programs and gatherings in Austria, Denmark, England, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, Spain for a variety of firms, such as ALSTOxM, AXA, BASF, Bouygues, Diageo, Douglas, IBM, L'Oreal, OCRA, Tempest Consultants, VALEO.
Michael Shiel
Dr Michael Shiel is Director of the Post-Graduate Diploma Programme in Strategy at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland’s oldest university.

He is also a member of the Blue Ocean Strategy network based at INSEAD, where he works closely with the originators of this approach, Professors Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne.

Dr Shiel teaches at INSEAD, and also on INSEAD executive programmes. He regularly serves as adjunct faculty at CEDEP, an executive education
academy on the INSEAD campus. He has taught Blue Ocean Strategy to executives at other European business schools including IESE (Barcelona), Vlerick Business School (Ghent), the Hong Kong University for Science and Technology, and the Scandinavian International Management Instutute (Copenhagen).

He has consulted and taught Blue Ocean Strategy to a range of companies including Nestle, Starwood Hotels, Fortis Bank and Pfizer. He carries out conference keynote speeches on behalf of the Blue Ocean Strategy Network.

He obtained his Doctoral Degree from the University of Hertfordshire (UK) under the supervision of the renowned strategist and complexity theorist, Prof Ralph Stacey. He gained first place in his MBA degree programme at Fordham University (New York) and subsequently obtained a diploma in advanced organisational psychology from the Tavistock Institute in London.
Fee & Registration
The workshop fee is 25,000 INR per participant, plus 10.3% service tax. It covers tuition, workshop materials, lunch and beverages during the workshop.
